Engr. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury is a seasoned Marine Engineering Professional and Technical Consultant with over 25 years of proven experience in the global maritime industry. Having served more than 15 years as Chief Engineer aboard ocean-going oil and chemical tankers, he brings exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and technical authority to every assignment.
Throughout his distinguished seafaring career, he has worked with internationally reputed shipping companies operating across Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and other major maritime regions. His hands-on experience spans complex engine room management, technical troubleshooting, dry docking supervision, vessel performance optimization, machinery overhauling, safety compliance, and adherence to international maritime regulations.
He holds a Class-1 (Motor) Certificate of Competency recognized by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and Panama. He further strengthened his technical foundation through advanced marine engineering studies at Singapore Polytechnic and TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute (Australia).
In addition, he is a certified ISO 9001:2015,14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 Integrated Management System (IMS) by Bureau Veritas and Ship Surveyor under the Department of Shipping, Bangladesh, authorizing him to conduct vessel inspections, surveys, and regulatory compliance assessments in accordance with national and international maritime standards.
